Also, a cool little video from 2005 was recently unearthed by Luciano Valério of himself and Kiko D. at Parque Cecap in Guarulhos, which was the neighborhood where they grew up in.  The video features the song Partida em Arujá, which is performed on the “Na Boca dos Outros” with Juçara Marçal on vocals.  See it here.

Kiko’s trio performed at Sao Paulo's Manobra Festival in December.  Watch a performance of the trio here.  We’ve also got another clip of the trio joining forces with MC Sombra here.

You can also catch three songs from Trio Esmeril, with a special appearance from Kiko.

M. Takara

Speaking of M. Takara, he is resurfacing with a new EP in March on the Desmonta and One Cell labels.  U.S. Takara fans will be pleased to hear that the M.T. trio will be doing a few shows in the States, including the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas.  In the meantime, check out two tunes on youtube here and here.

That should keep you busy for a while.  We’ll be back in a couple of weeks to check in and make sure you’ve taken adequate breaks to eat and sleep.

Until next time…
